What others think of us?

"The workshop was a great success!"

For a meeting with four blood groups who occasionally collaborate in various groups, the “Strategic Communication Game” workshop was a resounding success!

We playfully identified bottlenecks, after which we cheerfully concluded the day with a laugh and a quip about more serious matters.

"This teambuilding actually works!"

Mindpepper really deserve their name : they provide us with a spicy experience that, after having piqued our curiosity through a juggling speech, brought us to a concrete experimentation of how we can improve ourselves by learning to “let it go”. The final group game was a perfect occasion to share a good time, forgetting hierarchy for a while and learning how to better work together : this well-thought game is an actual experience of how communication is key to implement new efficient way of doing things.

"An energetic and funny act with a good message"

For the “reintegration square” at Arnhem Penitentiary, we hired Michiel with his “Wool Act” to bring the day to a vibrant close. Michiel carefully prepared for this, including an initial introduction, reading up on the topic, and meeting with our organizing team to discuss the content. Michiel appeared as a consultant with expertise in collaboration. He quickly connected several professionals by throwing a ball of yarn, which ultimately culminated in a toss-and-throw moment that created a large spiderweb of yarn over the participants. The act was a great metaphor for the network of professionals we already have working on prisoner reintegration, which grows stronger when more connections are made! We found it to be an energetic and funny act with a good message that also resulted in some truly hilarious scenes!

"Exactly the right tone"

Maike and her partner Michiel have delivered an excellent contribution to the Annual staff event of Greenpeace International. With their opening act, they managed to find exactly the right tone between fun and seriousness, between content and light distraction, and between uniqueness and professionalism. Whilst the Greenpeace audience is not easy to please, the inspiring performance of Maike and Michel has been greatly appreciated by all participants. They managed to deliver a energising, custom made event and I would warmly recommend them for any event.

"Something Very Special"

Maike Aerden and juggler partner in crime Michiel Hesseling turned the otherwise not very spectacular opening of the new office of the Nieuw-West district into something very special. After their tailor-made humorous story, good interaction with the audience and impressive performance, everyone entered the renovated building with a big smile. It immediately gave a good vibe to our beautiful renovated building!

"A lot of humor and interaction"

For the annual ECSS Amsterdam 2014 congress of the European College of Sport Science, we needed an opening act which would fit very nicely with the theme of the congress ‘Diversity in Sport Science around the Canals’. We contacted Michiel Hesseling and Maike Aerden of mindpepper.nl. The act could not have been better fitted, the show started as a scientific guest lecture and slowly advanced into a juggling act full of specific details about (sport) science which were very recognizable for the audience. This all was intertwined with a lot of humor and interaction with the audience. It was impressive how the information provided during a relatively short briefing was taken up and elaborated in the act. Many people told us that this was the very best opening of a scientific congress they have ever experienced, so it was a more than excellent opening of our congress.
Prof.dr. Arnold de Haan / Professor in Exercise Physiology / Director of MOVE research institute amsterdam

"The best act we have ever had by far"

Thank you very much again for this outstanding performance you delivered at the opening. The best act we ever had by far.
Thomas Delaveaux / Executive Director European College of Sport Science (after opening show at the 19th edition of the ECSS)

"Michiel Hesseling and Maike Aerden
offered an excellent solution"

We recently did a presentation for Inspiriment Events for the official handover act of a health center in Weesp. The fact that the center can open its doors in this time of crisis is due to the efforts of many parties. The wish of the housing association, which owns the building, was that as many people as possible would be put in the spotlight on this day. Inspiriment faced the challenge of doing this in a fun, catchy way. Jugglers Michiel Hesseling and Maike Aerden offered an excellent solution; they have mentioned everyone in their tailor-made juggling presentation and made it clear in a humorous way what everyone’s role was in the creation of the center.

"I've had nothing but good feedback
from the participants and the organization.

"Recommended!"

I already knew that Maike Aerden, Michiel Hesseling and Jeroen Regtien can juggle well. That they use sharp humor to magnify common management practices in a playful way and thus hold up a huge (laughing) mirror to us. Reasons to book them for the SKB annual conference.
The setting: a room full of serious professionals from the worlds of soil, water, energy, agriculture & nature and spatial planning. The expectation: a serious read on the analogy between primate evolution and the transition of policy and practice. The effect: interest – confusion – smile – burst of laughter – applause for artists – appreciation for the organization – learning effect for the audience. Recommended!
Mr. Frank Agterberg / Program Director SKB

"Very well presented and enjoyable"

On January 15th you opened the ICL Global Procurement Management Team meeting. I would like to thank you and your wife Mrs. Maike Aerden for the great few hours together, very well presented and enjoyable. Your training and the way you used to convey the message were interesting and amusing as well. You succeeded to create the right environment that contribute a lot to the success of this day. Thank you very much and probably see you in another ICL event.
Ido Lilian / Chief Procurement Officer at ICL
