ANWB, SWOV (Foundation for Scientific Research on Road Safety) and the Municipality of Amsterdam have joined forces to reduce the number of accidents in the capital’s traffic. To this end, a new measuring instrument for safety at infrastructural level has been launched: the Network Safety Indicator. During the meeting, the instrument was explained by Gert Jan Wijlhuizen (SWOV) and Ferry Smith (ANWB general member interest), Peter van der Knaap (SWOV) and Senta Modder (Traffic and Public Space, City of Amsterdam) underlined their productive collaboration.
